NASA Scientists Get Global Fix On Food, Wood & Fiber Use
This ASTER (Advanced Spaceborne Thermal Emission and Reflection Radiometer) image shows New York City and the Island of Manhattan, bordered by the Hudson and East Rivers. The study finds that people in some urban areas with very high population densities need 300 times more plant-derived resources, or net primary production (NPP), than the local area produces. Woodmizer Opinion
I am of the opinion that the Woodmizer mill is just too fancy, Who needs all the electronic crap they come with, when something goes wrong with that garbage you need an electronics degree to fix it, they look great but sometimes I wonder if I drop a log on it will it break in half, another thing that bugs me about the WM mill is the price, you would think that the biggest Bandmill company in the world would have the cheapest mills out there.Woodmizer is crap!
Just My opinion
OH here are some plans for a log loading trailer

So you want to build a mill?
Ill bet lots of visitors coming to this blog are building or thinking of building a bandmill, well here is a tip for all of you. when building the mill you have to pull the saw thru the wood to cut it, this means your drive wheel has to be pulling the blade thru the cut not pushing it, make sense? If there are questions please post them.Sunday, June 27, 2004

The first sawmilling blog on the net
Ok guys this is it, the first sawmilling blog on the net, what is a blog? well A blog is a web page made up of usually short, frequently updated posts that are arranged chronologically — like a what's new page or a journal. The content and purposes of blogs varies greatly — from links and commentary about other web sites, to news about a company/person/idea, to diaries, photos, poetry, mini-essays, project updates, even fiction. Ill try to add to this blog every day and you can feel free to comment on the posts if you like happy blogging everyone.Peter
